Cookie policy
What we store on your device and why.
Last updated: 9 July 2026
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website; similar technologies such as local storage work the same way. This policy explains which ones Freelance Budget uses and why, and it complements our Privacy policy.
Our approach
Freelance Budget uses cookies only where they are needed to run the Service and to remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use third-party tracking or profiling cookies.
Strictly necessary cookies
These are required for the Service to work and cannot be switched off. They keep you signed in, secure your session, and help protect against fraud and cross-site request forgery — for example your authentication session cookie and the security cookies set at sign-in. Without them you cannot log in or use the app.
Preference cookies
These remember choices you make, such as your language and display settings, so the interface matches your preferences on your next visit.
Third-party cookies
When you make a payment, our payment provider Stripe may set cookies needed to process the transaction securely and prevent fraud. When you connect a third-party account (your bank through Powens, or Google, Apple or Stripe), that provider's own sign-in pages may set cookies governed by their policies. We do not place advertising or third-party analytics cookies.
Managing cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and set your browser to refuse them. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in and using Freelance Budget.
Consent
Strictly necessary cookies are exempt from consent under the applicable rules. Where we ever use a non-essential cookie that requires consent, we will ask for it first, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the Service evolves; the date above shows the latest revision. Questions: contact@freelancebudget.com.
