Independent (natural person) to start simply: INASTI contributions ~20.5%, unlimited liability. SRL for asset protection + tax optimization (corp tax + dividends). SA for structures with more capital and multiple shareholders.

How does Belgian VAT work?

Quarterly regime by default (filing on the 20th of M+1), monthly available for large turnovers. Standard rate 21%, reduced rates 12% and 6%, 0% for certain sectors (intra-EU B2B exports).

And Belgian public holidays?
